This blog is for me to practice with so that I don't goof up my real blog. The first thing I am trying to do is to figure out how to find the URL name of a picture that has already been uploaded to a server other than Blogspot's. (I learned how to find the URL name of a picture uploaded with the Picasa 2 Hello program that uses BloggerBot so that I could get my picture on my User Profile.) I have looked at the HTML code of a friend's web site and am going to see if I can find the correct image source name of that picture so that she can use it on her new blog profile form. If I can't find the code, I will upload her picture on this practice blog so that I can give her a URL for her picture.

Whoa! As soon as I looked at the newly created page, there was my user profile picture from my original blog so these blogs are linked together. I'm afraid if I practice on this one that it will change my original blog profile too. I created this practice blog to avoid that problem. I may have to use this blog for other things.
Well, I thought I could post a picture to this practice page, but my BloggerBot is evidently linked to my original blog so the picture had to go there instead. Now I have to figure out how to switch blogs when I want to post pictures. There's always something. At least I got a URL for my friend's picture. Now we have to wait to see if it will work on her User Profile and what will happen when I delete that post with her picture from my blog. I'm hoping that the picture will stay on the server even if the posting is deleted. If not, I can put her picture back on my blog. I'll let you know.

Thanks for your comment on my blog! I'm going to specify "Viking Funeral" in my will. I think I'll probably end up with ferrets instead of cats, though. They're much more sinewy, and they like to sleep in hammocks. I approve of hammocks.
Kahlua looks like a very nice cat. :)
I chickened out of deleting my friend's picture posted on my blog because it took her a week to get around to copying and pasting it on her User Profile form. (She's a busy real estate lady.) So I went to my husband's computer and was going to create a blog in his name so I could practice the User Profile URL picture thing, but then I just created a new blog for myself using one of my other e-mail addresses. I was able to post an image, find the URL name and paste it on my new User Profile page. I then deleted the original post with the image from my new blog, and the User Profile picture stayed so the uploaded image stays stored on the server even when the post is deleted.
Important! I found an easier way to determine the URL name of an image than what the Help menu suggested. Once you get the image posted on your blog, just Right-click the image, click on "Properties" and it shows the URL name for you to copy and paste.
